Antique ax pin in 10k yellow gold and enamel. This has been converted to a simple charm to add to your charm collection for a necklace or bracelet. I loved the ax as I am drawn to swords and daggers so this fit the bill. The blade has various colors of red, yellow and green. I thought it was enamel but after further examination it looks like inlaid stone. The letters of MW of A and symbol of MWA are inlaid into the stone as well and in pristine condition.
History of this pin:
Modern Woodmen of America is an organization that started in 1883 in Lyons, Iowa which still exists today. Started by Joseph Cullen Root, this fraternal organization was created to *"protect families following the death of a breadwinner."
